Job Description

We are searching for a Hematologist/Oncologist to join our academic-focused HemOnc department in Louisiana. Our institution is among an elite group of 71 research universities, with our distinguished School of Medicine being the second-oldest medical school in the South and the 15th-oldest in the United States. We encourage our incoming physicians to advance their academic careers by collaborating with bench researchers, leading clinical trials, and publishing as primary authors for translational clinical trial research.

About the Role

  • You will be responsible for teaching fellows, residents, and medical students in addition to leading clinical trial research
  • Minimum of 50% protected time for incoming faculty
  • APP support for clinical care

An Established HemOnc Department

  • The department is on track to receive an NCI certification, making it one of only 72 NCI-designated cancer centers in the nation

Focus on your Research Interests

  • You can be the Primary Author for the clinical and research trials for the following areas in Oncology: 
    • Neuro-Oncology
    • Gastroenterology Oncology
    • Genitourinary Oncology
    • Breast Oncology
    • Bone Marrow & Transplant Malignant Hematology
