POSITION SUMMARY
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) leads an integrated team of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, behavioral health consultants, and dental professionals in a patient-centered medical home setting. Working collaboratively with the Chief Executive Officer, the CMO provides vision and oversight for delivering comprehensive, evidence-based, and high-quality care.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Graduated from an accredited medical school.
- Board certified in the applicable discipline (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pediatric Medicine).
- Active and unrestricted licensure in the state of Kansas. Or eligible to obtain one.
- At least five years of post-residency experience.
- A minimum of two years of administrative and/or supervisory experience in a community-based healthcare setting.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES HIGHLIGHTS
- Maintains a culturally competent, high-quality integrated care program to include preventive care, acute care, chronic disease management, dentistry, behavioral health, and community health.
- Provides management and oversight for a highly productive and integrated team of medical, dental, and behavioral health providers.
- Responsible for the HPC's Quality Assurance/Improvement (QI/QA) Program.
- Implements and monitors annual quality improvement plan.
- Develops, maintains, and supervises required educational activities of clinical staff.
- Participates in HPC's strategic planning process and assists with implementing and monitoring the plan.
- Assists in the preparation and oversight of the annual budget.
- Oversees the recruitment, support, and retention of HPC clinical staff.
