Duties - Assist Physical Therapists in providing physical therapy services in an outpatient setting to a diverse patient population. - Plans and carries out highly specialized and diversified treatment for patients whose condition requires the application of non standard in addition to standard treatment procedures. - Utilizes various modalities and procedures prescribed for physical therapy to include electrical stimulation, TENS, iontophoresis, ultrasound, sterile technique, hot packs, cryotherapy, and cervical and pelvic traction. - Modifies crutches, splints, braces, etc., as needed to facilitate treatment, and recommends equipment needs for both clinic and home use. - Annotates all assessments, treatments, patient progress and response to treatments in the patients medical records. - Performs other duties as assigned.
