Locums Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Emergency Medicine Opening

    • Est length of assignment: 6-12 months
    • Minimum # of shifts acceptable: 2
    • Certification Requirements - ABEM AOBEM Board Eligible up to 5 years post grad
    • Alternative boards not accepted
    • Residency Trained Requirements: Must be a graduate of an ACGME accredited program
    • Board certified docs dont need an ACLS but must have NIHSS. Sedation (Moderate and Deep) requires a test
    • Physician Shift Times: Three 12-hour shifts (7a-7p, 11a-11p, 7p-7a)
    • NPPA Shift Times: 32.5 hours APP coverage per day (6:30a-4:30p, 10a-10p, 4:30p-3a)
    • Annual Volume: 46,000
    • Patients Per Day: 124
    • % Admitted Patients: 13%
    • No Scribe Coverage
    • EMR: Epic
    • No active state license required to proceed,but license must be in process
    • Privileging Timeframe 60-90 days from a submitted application
    • Expedited Locum Privileges: They do offer IPCN privileges for those with a clean file, license, DEA and submitted application. That process takes about 2 weeks, and they must be on the schedule to request
    • Onboarding Requirements (Orientation/EMR training) Both
