Duration: 1 Year
24/7 ER
All shifts are 6a-6p, 6p-6a with single doc coverage
Onboarding is 2 Hr. process to educate on Meditech and local quality measures. Also, there will be one shadow shift at each main site and 1 shadow shift at any FSED (they all function the same)
Case logs will need to be provided.
Number of Beds: Facility#1 8, Facility #2 12, Facility #3 15
10% admissions at FSEDs and 20% at doctors
Patient Population: Facility#1 elderly, winter Texans, Facility#2 mixed, more younger Patients, Facility #3 nursing home, elderly, rural
Patient Census Per Day: Facility #1 45, Facility #2 & 3 - 60
High Acuity
Physicians must be efficient in central line placement, intubation, dislocation reductions, trauma, stemi, strokes, OB deliveries
Generally, no follow up is needed on cases, however feedback is provided as needed
Each site has APP coverage
All Variety of Emergency Medicine Cases
ABFM or ABIM with ER experience for FSEDs
BC EM Residency Trained Required
