A correctional facility is seeking a family medicine physician for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in Rahway, NJ.
The facility is seeking a provider with a credentialing timeframe of 30 days. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with call required only if working more than 20 hours per week. The provider will see an average of 10-20 adult patients per day, and must be board-certified in Family or Internal Medicine with a valid NJ license. The role is supported by nursing staff and medical assistants, and documentation is done using paper charts. Ideal candidates should be comfortable with suturing, incision and drainage, and joint injections. COVID or flu vaccination requirements were not specified.
