Job Description
A Level III trauma center is seeking a general anesthesiologist and a cardiac anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.
Eastern Texas is known for it's towering trees, beautiful azalea flowers, and is referred to as the Piney Woods region!
The general anesthesiologist will work 5x8s or 4x10s with cases such as orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, urology, GYN, robotics, pediatrics, EP, GI, and optional OB if proficient with epidural and spinal anesthesia. There will be no heart or transplants. The clinician may be able to work in the call rotation. The cases that can be expected for the cardiac position are a mix of Cardiac, EP, thoracic, and cardiology cases, sometimes all in one day.. There will be straightforward hearts that require TEE (do not have to have TEE cert); however, they need to be able to competently perform and interpret intra-op TEEs.
