Open FTE = Open shift coverage
Shift length: 9- & 12-hour shifts
On Call: None
No Inpatient Responsibilities
No outreach
Number of Physicians: 1-2 Physician coverage day hours. 1 Physician covers night hours
Number of Advanced Practice Providers: 1-2
Supervision of APP(s) expected
ED Volume average 77 patients per day
Job Responsibilities: ED Physician coverage
EMR: Cerner Powerchart until June then EPIC
Teaching Opportunity: teaching hospital
Trauma Level III
250 beds
33,000 annual visits
Peak shifts/busiest are during 11a-11p
Transfer out less than 3% of patients
60-90 days for privileging
Board Certified ABEM/AOBEM - Required
Clean background - Required
Active IA License or IMLC - Required
Fellowship Trained - Emergency Medicine
ACLS & PALS are required through AHA; if ER boarded ACLS and PALS are waived; ATLS required for trauma privileges
Must be available for night shifts
