Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our team in a community healthcare setting in Los Angeles, California. This is a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive, high-quality care to a diverse patient population while making a meaningful impact in underserved communities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about community health, skilled in managing a wide range of medical conditions, and committed to reducing health disparities in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including preventative care, chronic disease management, and acute illness care.
  • Perform physical examinations, diagnostic evaluations, and minor office procedures as needed.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families.
  • Educate patients on preventive care, wellness strategies, and management of chronic illnesses.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, and behavioral health providers.
  • Refer patients to specialists or community resources as necessary to address their healthcare needs.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of care and patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine.
  • Active and unrestricted California medical license.
  • DEA license with the ability to prescribe medication.
  • Demonstrated commitment to serving underserved communities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.

Preferences:

  • Bilingual proficiency (e.g., English and Spanish) a plus but not required.
  • Experience working in a community health center, federally qualified health center (FQHC), or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of social determinants of health and their impact on patient outcomes.
