You will serve as a Family Practice Physician. Your duties will include, but are not limited to: - Serve as a recognized technical authority in the delivery of Family Medicine Medical care to all ages of active-duty personnel, their dependents, eligible Navy Civilian employees and other eligible beneficiaries. - Develop, implement, and execute policy and procedures developed by the three Triad SMOs. - Lead the clinical staff in the development and execution of new and current policies and procedures related to clinical care. - Maintain the credentialing activity files (CAF) for all providers within the NMRTU Oceana share-drive. - Serve as member of the professional medical staff and provides advisory and consultative services on various meetings, committees, conferences, and/ or boards. - Participate in committees/ meetings that evaluate the care provided to patients at MTF, identifies opportunities to change the care delivered, advices on difficult or complex cases, and recommends corrective action when problems exist. - Serves as supervisor plans work, sets priorities, prepares schedules; make work assignments based on the priorities, selective consideration of difficulty and requirements of the assignments and the capability of subordinates. - Review work: evaluates performance and provides advice, counselor instructions to individual employees concerning work and administrative matters. identifies training needs and makes provisions for such. - Interview candidates for vacant positions and makes recommendations for appointment, promotion or reassignments. Hears and resolves complaints from employees, refers group grievances and more serious complaints to higher level supervisor.
