MAJOR DUTIES - Perform comprehensive behavioral health nursing assessments and histories to plan, provide and direct nursing care across the continuum of care. - Identify patient problems, generate nursing diagnoses, design plans of care, write and implements nursing orders, evaluate nursing interventions, document patients status on a continual basis and revise plans of care accordingly. - Develop and initiate innovative teaching programs for patients requiring special approaches. - Administer many psychotropic and complex medications via the oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, intradermal, topical, rectal, respiratory, intravenous routes. - Identify pending crisis situations and handle appropriately. PERFORMS OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
