Academic Cardiothoracic Surgery Job in Top Gulf Coast Metro

Assist in the development of a thoracic oncology program! Ideal candidate should have a strong academic interest to pursue clinical, basic, and/or translational research.

The Practice:

• Join a Thoracic Oncology academic program
• Department of Surgery is actively recruiting a dedicated thoracic surgeon for Assistant Professor position
• Incoming physician will assist in developing the thoracic oncology program
• Candidates will be board-certified by the ABTS and have a demonstrated expertise in surgery for tumors of the chest, including cancer of the lung, esophagus, chest wall and mediastinum
• Expertise in minimally invasive thoracic surgery is required
• Experience in advanced pulmonary resections and esophagectomies is also necessary
• Work closely with various multidisciplinary teams within hospital system
• Ideal candidate should have a strong academic interest to pursue clinical, basic, and/or translational research
