Job Description

Locums Tacoma, Washington, Anesthesiology Job (IMLC Accepted)Clinical Role:

    • Starting 2025, for 12 months (will consider 6 mo)
    • 10 or 12 hour shifts (NO 8 hour shifts)
    • MUST be available nights Monday-Friday, 5 days per week and weekend availability
    • Scheduling preference: Monday - Friday, 7am-5pm (some shifts may be 7am-7pm); also willing to work nights, weekends and holidays if needed
    • Number Providers Needed: 2-3
    • Setting: Inpatient
    • Required Procedures: Candidates must be able to do OB, Trauma, Neuro, etc., for general anesthesia
      • General Anesthesia
      • Trauma
      • Spinal Anesthesia
      • Epidural Anesthesia
      • Obstetrical Cases
      • Neurosurgical Cases; Head & Spine
      • Thoracic Cases
      • Complex Vascular Cases
      • Complex Orthopedic Cases
      • Post-Op
      • Use of ulta-sound in placement of blocks
      • Ventilation mgmt
      • Eval and mgmt of acute volume/BP issues
      • Arterial line placements
    • Percentage of cases per day:
      • 35% general
      • 15% OB
      • 15% Neuro
      • 10% Thoracic
      • 10% Complex Vascular
      • 15% Complex Orthopedic
    • Preferred Procedures:
      • General Anesthesia
      • Regional Anesthesia
      • Intra/Post Op extremity blocks
    • PA Catheter placement
    • EMR: EPIC
    • Support Staff: CRNAs
    • Reason for Coverage: Locums contracts ending
    • Not Required:
      • Neonatal
      • Epidural steroid for
      • Transforaminal
      • Lumbar
      • Cervical
      • Use of x ray guidance in performance of blocks
      • CRNA Supervision
    • Board Certified/Board Eligible Highly Preferred
    • Active CA License Required or IMLC
    • BLS, ACLS Required
