Job Description
Seeking a Chief/Chair of OBGYN to lead a large group of OBGYNs for one of the largest employers in Connecticut. It is only a 25-mile drive to New Haven, Connecticut, and only 1.5 hours to New York City.
About the Organization:
- The Medical Center performs 1500 deliveries per year with a level 3a neonatal intensive care unit
- The unit caters to the diverse Fairfield County community and three groups of independent physicians
- We have a robust hospitalist program with advanced practitioner support
- There is 24-hour in-house Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and Anesthesia to support the patients
- 500 gynecologic procedures are performed annually, including GynOncology and UroGynecology
About the Opportunity:
- 50% Clinical and 50% Administrative
- Must have strong leadership skills and expertise in team building, programmatic development
- Must have a commitment to quality and safety
- Strong Obstetrical skills are necessary
- Report directly to the Vice President of Medical Affairs
- The Chief leads the Obstetrics & Gynecology department, overseeing the safety, quality, and service of the department, as well as the development of the Departmental plan, goals, and objectives
- The Chiefis the primary teacher and site director for the OB/Gyn part of the Family Practice Residency Program and is the academic chairperson of the Department of OB/GYN
