  • Shift Details (shift types): 24 hour shifts
  • Start/End Times: 7a - 7a
  • Call - in house vs off site holding a pager - In house
  • Expected number of available shifts/month 6 - 9 shifts per month
  • Will accept multiple part time candidates to fill the schedule
  • Flexible on dates
  • Please list specific dates of coverage needed: No specific dates, looking for any coverage. Will also consider 12 hour shifts
  • Minimum shift commitment requirement - With a 24 hour call, I anticipate every other or every 3rd day
  • Setting: In-house
  • Duties: On call, labor and delivery, GYN No Doc
  • Required Procedures: Full scope OB/GYN
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Support Staff: Hospital staff
  • Reason for Coverage: Short staffed provider FTEs
  • Hospitalist will do admission for OB patients. Average delivery per 24 hours is 4. Antepartum visits 0-5, postpartum rounds 1-6
  • ER GYN admissions, usually 0, but can be up to 1-2
  • # of beds in hospital - 385
  • # of ORs - 19
  • # of L&D beds - 11 L & D beds, 7 antepartum, triage
  • Trauma level - Level III NICU, Level II Trauma
  • Typical cases:
  • OB: low and high risk labor management and delivery, cesarean sections, tubal ligations, HTN and DM management, antepartum visits, support of CNM and residents. Postpartum D & C
  • GYN: Suction D & C, ectopic pregnancy management
  • # of deliveries/month - Averaged out to be 230 a month for FMG group (includes CNM deliveries)
  • # of high risk/month approx half is high risk
  • % of OB cases vs % of GYN 95/5
  • Rounding will be required while on call
  • There are two CNMs for low risk delivery, MFM for consults, OBHG for back up and triage
  • MFMs
  • In house anesthesia
  • Locum will admit sometimes
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible Required
  • Active WALicense Highly Preferred or IMLC
  • ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP Required
