Locums Cheyenne, Wyoming, Part-Time Cardiothoracic Surgery Opening
  • Clinical Role:
    • Do you know someone that might be a good fit for this position? Please ask about our generous referral fees!
    • Reason for the need: building bench support but up to 2 weeks/month. This is not a full-time position
    • Shift: 24-hour shifts from 7a - 7a. Weekends included
    • Practice Type: Hospital (Mon-Sun all day)
    • Callback Percentage: Weekday 5; Weekend 5; ER 5; ICU 5
    • Caseload Percentage: 98% Adult, Trauma 2%, Hospital 100%
    • Average Number of hospital patients per physical day: 2
    • Admissions: 2/week
    • ICU: 1/day
    • Surgeries: 2/week
    • Locum tenens physician will be required to supervise other healthcare providers (PA on staff)
    • No other thoracic surgeons will be present during locum tenens coverage
    • Lab and X-ray Onsite
    • EPIC for Hospital
    • Hospital Services:
      • Locum tenens will require hospital privileges
      • Time needed to obtain privileges: 90 days
      • Locum tenens will cover one (1) hospital
      • Total number of beds: 222
      • ICU: 10
      • Trauma Level: III
      • Will locum tenens will not be involved in covering/supervising teaching services (residents/fellows)
    • Required Procedures:
      • General CV/thoracic surgery open endoscopic
      • Coronary artery bypass surgery on pump
      • Valvular replacement
      • Aneurysm repair cardiac, aorto-thoracic
      • Lung resection (including VATs)
      • Chest wall or pleural procedures
      • Eval. and mgmt. of acute vol / BP issues
      • Insertion of Central line, Arterial line, PA catheter, IABP
      • Preferred Procedures:
        • Valvular repair
        • Esophagus and diaphragm surgeries
        • Ventilation management
        • Bronchoscopy
        • Board Certified in Cardiovascular & Thoracic - Required
        • Epic Experience - Required
        • BLS, ACLS - Required
        • WY State License - Required
        • Must be available for up to 2 weeks per month - Required
