MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Serves as a Physician (Pediatrics), responsible for diagnosis, treatment, and the prevention of all diseases and provides total health care for newborns up to young adults up to 23 years of age. - Performs detailed assessment of the health status and health maintenance of individual patients. - Prescribes treatment appropriate for the patient's needs and conditions. - Ensures that intakes for initial evaluations have been completed. - Communicates with patient's guardians in a timely and concise manner to ensure access to care and to continuously reassess the process for availability of services. - Examines, diagnoses, and treats children with a variety of developmental disabilities. - Completes medical record charting with accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness. - Performs telephonic after-hours call shared with other providers as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
