  • 13 infusion chairs in 2 separate rooms (6 or 7 each room)
  • 5 private rooms for long term infusions.
  • They also handle non-infectious OP infusions and blood transfusions on a floor.
  • Average infusions/injections is between 15-20/day in addition to the consultations and follow up patients.
  • They average between 20-30 consults/month. They have anywhere between 15-25 follow up patients/day. Volumes have increased. There are 6 exam rooms for the providers to see consultations and follow up in addition to the infusion rooms
  • Their nursing staff is all trained by the Oncology Nursing Society Cancer Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy course. They are all cross trained to the care of radiation patients since so many patients are receiving both modalities. Several of their staff are OCNs.
• They have 5 cancer conferences/month (sometimes called tumor boards) 2 breast conferences, 2 lung conferences, and one general conference. CMEs are provided for these conferences.
