Job Description
Providence St. Lukes Rehabilitation Medical Center in Spokane, WA invites a BC/BE Physiatrist with interest in neurorehabilitation to join a well-established physiatry group at a CARF-accredited, state-of-the-art acute rehabilitation hospital and PM&R residency training program. This is a full-time position within a collegial group of 9 faculty physiatrists, 24 physiatry residents, and a comprehensive, interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. The physiatrist in this position will 1) support delivery of world class rehabilitation medical care in hospital and clinic settings, and 2) serve an essential role in physiatry resident and medical student education.
- Primarily inpatient clinical practice focused on neurorehabilitation diagnoses. Strong interest in spinal cord injury (SCI) or fellowship training in SCI is viewed favorably but is not a requirement
- Board certification/board eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is required.
- Opportunities to develop an outpatient clinical practice within the broader spectrum of PM&R scope of practice, in alignment with applicant interests and community needs.
- Opportunities for inpatient consults at area hospitals are available.
- Weekend inpatient call coverage is shared among members of the group (6-8 weekends per year). Residents provide on-site 24/7 call coverage with attending available by phone.
- Interest in teaching physiatry residents and medical students is required
- Research opportunities with Washington State University (WSU), University of Washington, Eastern Washington University, University of Idaho, University of Montana, and Gonzaga University are available.
- Eligibility for clinical faculty appointment at WSU Elson S Floyd College of Medicine and University of Washington Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.
- Organization qualifies for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program.
- Compensation is between $263,660 to $358,675 per year
- The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position. In addition, providers have CME benefits available to them.
