MAJOR DUTIES - Examine patients and perform initial patient work-up and assessment of patients' care and treatment. - Order laboratory tests, X-rays, etc., and arrange for physician consultation if required - Prescribe for and treat a variety of diseases, disorders, and injuries - Discriminate between normal and abnormal findings to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional or mental problems. - Provide consultation, teaching, and coordination with patients regarding treatment and medical care. Performs other duties as assigned.
