Job Description

A reputable physician-founded and led medical group has a Nocturnist Nurse Practitioner job near Baltimore and Washington D.C. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join a multi-specialty group with a strong practice culture, efficient processes, innovation, and much more!

Job Details:

  • Five nights on/5 nights off schedule
  • Hours: 7 pm to 7 am
  • 18-bed observation unit
  • No call environment
  • Responsible for admissions from the Emergency Department to the Observation unit, 4-hour touch bases with nursing and case management, and discharges.
  • EMR: Meditech Expanse
  • Codes: Run by the Critical Care team but attend if it is in the Observation Unit
  • Full Subspecialty support
  • 2 Nocturnists on staff at night for the NP to confer with

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner
  • Adult, Family, or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification
