Job Description

The Physician Assistant will work Orthopedic In-Patient and the Out-Patient Orthopedic Clinic. Will primarily work at our Parnassus location.
Required Qualifications
Physician Assistant
Sr Physician Assistant

Active and current California Physician Assistant License (PA).
- California driver's license (CDL) if required for the position.
- Current national board certification by first day of work and maintain.
- Active and transferable DEA license to California and have evidence of transfer by 90th day of clinical practice. (It is the responsibility of the employee to transfer their DEA license to their new place of employment if from out of state, via online DEA portal and provide evidence of transfer).
- Complete an AAPA recognized graduate master's degree program as a Physician Assistant.
- Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through the credentialing process by first clinical day.
- Current AHA BLS.
- Current AHA ACLS.
UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
