Duties - Provide evidence-based psychotherapy for complex psychiatric/social issues such as mental health conditions or emotional challenges. - Establish treatment plans to identify a patient's problems, strengths, weaknesses, coping skills and determine what assistance is needed. - Provide therapeutic measures geared towards securing cognitive and behavioral adjustment by recognizing and resolving issues related to patient's attitude towards themselves, family and/or others. - Conduct intake evaluations and psycho-diagnostic assessments to address diagnostic and treatment issues. - Utilize psychological assessment measures to explore the development of behavior patterns, mechanisms, and symptoms. - Work with line operational units to address mental health factors impacting human performance such as suicide, post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury and anxiety disorders. - Provide psychological consultation, education and training to other mental health professionals, medical staff, military commanders/senior leaders and other Department of Defense and civilian providers Perform other duties as necessary
